
On the 8th of June, the delegation of the University of Sopron held a successful meeting with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Budapest, marking an important step in the further development of its international relations.
The University of Sopron was represented by Prof. Dr. Attila Fábián ,Rector, Dr. Márton Beke, Development Advisor, and Boróka Buzsáki, International Coordinator. From the side of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shokhruz Samadov attended, who is the Deputy Head of Mission of Uzbekistan to Hungary, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia on Political, Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs
The discussion focused on opportunities for cooperation with universities in Uzbekistan and on ways to further strengthen existing and future partnerships with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan. The meeting confirmed the shared commitment of the parties to expanding academic and institutional connections, fostering international collaboration, and creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and staff, especially in the field of innovative teaching and research methodologies.
The University of Sopron highly values the Embassy’s openness and support, and looks forward to continued cooperation in building stronger ties with higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.
