Open a Hungarian bank account for Scholarship transfer
Your scholarship will be transferred to a Hungarian bank account. Several banks are available in Sopron, so you can choose the one that offers the conditions that best suit your needs as a student.
Once you have opened your bank account and received your Hungarian bank account number, please inform the university so that it can be registered in Neptun, the university's student administration system.
Requirements for Scholarship Payment
To receive your scholarship, the following information must be correct and up to date in Neptun:
- Active student status for the Fall semester
- Valid Hungarian bank account number
- Valid Hungarian tax ID
It is the student's responsibility to check that all required information in Neptun is correct and up to date.
Step 1
A bank account number can be entered under Finances > Settings > Bank accounts > Add bank account number.
Step 2
The address can be checked under My data > Contact information > Addresses.
Step 3
The tax ID can be checked under My data > Personal Information > Personal Information.
Scholarship Payment Schedule
Please note that scholarship payments are processed several days before the scheduled payment date. If you enter or update your Hungarian bank account details at the last minute, your payment may not be processed until the next scheduled payment date.
The first scholarship payment will be made in October. There is no need to worry if you do not receive a payment in September — your September scholarship will be paid together with your October scholarship.
Please make sure that your bank account details are entered correctly and on time to avoid delays in receiving your scholarship.
